Windows on the Past

Every building on the High Street has lived more than one life.

33 HIGH STREET, BRIDLINGTON

Properties on the High Street were renumbered at the start of the 1900s. This property was previously Number 71.

In 1899, this property was occupied by Stephen Staveley, Beer Retailer.

In this photograph, the property displaying the sign for John Smith's, Tadcaster Brewery Ales shows No 33 before 1911, when the frontage was changed. The children pose to have their photograph taken.
